Individuals and groups wishing to use the Centre's facilities should contact the co-ordinator Di Davies. It is best to make plans well in advance as Aio Wira is usually booked for at least one year ahead of time. The Centre may be viewed at any time by prior appointment.
The Centre caters for group seminars and workshops of around 20 participants. Larger groups are accepted, when other forms of accommodations, such as tents, can be used. Although individuals are welcome throughout the year, groups take priority, so there may be times when personal retreats are not possible.
Accommodations for group participants are generally in small comfortable dormitories. Some single rooms and a double room are also available. There are shared toilets and shower facilities. Comfortable sitting areas exist both inside and outside the building, and there is a spacious kitchen/dining room. A large comfortable hall with a stereo system is available for group activities and for use by individuals.
The Centre's staff maintain the facilities and cook tasty vegetarian meals to ensure the comfort of the guests.
Our sanctuary is situated some distance from the main building. This beautiful building is a place for quiet meditation and reflection in a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. It is also available for weddings and other celebrations and rituals.
We have a sauna and an interesting library available for groups and other guests to enjoy.
Blankets and pillows are provided, and guests are asked to bring their own towels, pillowcase, and 2 sheets (or a sleeping bag).
The Centre is open for individual and smaller group retreats whenever accommodation is available. Enjoy wholefood vegetarian meals and the facilities that Aio Wira has to offer. There are bush walks at Aio Wira, and Bethells Beach and Cascade Kauri Park are a short drive away. Yoga classes are available on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Massages are available with advance notice.
Cost: $100 per day (or $95 per day for private, midweek retreat), includes accommodation, vegetarian meals, and the use of our facilities.
