Both our 5 and 10 day fasts are guided by qualified facilitators and based upon high-quality liquid nourishment (organic vegetable/fruit juices, herb teas, and broths) with four/nine days of proper fasting, followed by a half-day to gently break the fast.
The tranquil atmosphere at Aio Wira and the fasting programme give the strength and motivation to make meaningful lifestyle changes (healthier diets, new physical regimens, or quitting smoking) by including exercises, relaxation techniques, yoga, Tai Chi, and access to a sauna and spa.
Shiatsu, facials, Hellerwork, lymphatic drainage, Reiki, seaweed or herbal body wraps, and massage are available for $70 per treatment.
Cost: $450 for the 5 day fast and $650 for the 10 day fast.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR: Rani Michelle
Rani is a dedicated yogi, dancer and movement lover.
Her curiosity for yoga and meditation began over 15 years ago. Her journey has moved her through somatic movement, dance, sensuality and the sacred art of ritual.
She is an ongoing student and has been teaching yoga for over 8 years between Auckland and Melbourne.
For Rani yoga is a way to know and understand oneself.
Through movement and self-inquiry we develop the awareness of our bodies and inner wisdom.
Rani’s goal as a facilitator is to inspire and guide others into self-empowerment through movement and connecting to their inner truth. She encourages her students to cultivate a deeper connection to self, which in turn creates a deeper connection to others and the environment around us.

Join me at the beautiful Aio Wira Retreat Centre to relax your body, regenerate your energy reserves and to come home to your own innate wisdom.
This is a rare opportunity to put down your usual responsibilities to simply ‘be’, to settle into the silence that a retreat offers, and to learn skills that, if practised, will change your life.
Mindfulness, the art of accessing the power of the 'now', is a wonderful means of calming your body, stilling your mind and cultivating joy and wellbeing.
So, if you have the tendency to lose yourself in stress, overwork or over-thinking, or would simply relish time for balance and restoration, join me at the lovely Aio Wira centre for a blend of mindfulness meditation and qi gong practices centred around the theme of self-compassion.
Qi gong is a wonderful Taoist system designed to improve the flow of energy in the body, create vitality and concentrate the mind.
There will be time out for reflection and walks in the beautiful native bush as well as delicious vegetarian meals and access to a sauna and spa.
We will begin each morning with stretches and meditation before breakfast, and finish each evening with a qi gong "healing sounds" practice to relax the organs of the body and to prepare for sleep. Please note that, for participants, this is a mostly silent retreat, apart from the first evening, the last morning, and an hour's circle discussion each day.
