Juice Fasts (5, 7 or 10 Days)

For centuries, fasting has been used as a way to heal the body, mind and spirit, restoring balance and clarity. A Juice Fast at Āio Wīra offers you the space to step away from everyday life and take time for deep rest, renewal and reconnection.

You will be nourished with organic fruit and vegetable juices, along with a warming vegetable potassium broth in the evening.

Our experienced facilitators will guide you through the process, sharing the principles and benefits of fasting in a supportive and caring environment. Daily yoga and meditation sessions are complemented by a variety of guest-led workshops, such as Qi Gong and Reflexology. Massages and bodywork therapy are available as an optional extra.

In your free time, enjoy the peace of our tranquil sanctuary, there are bushwalks to enjoy, spa and sauna, or a refreshing swim in the river. Famous Te Henga (Bethalls) beach is a 10 minute drive away.

Investment is $725 for 5 Days, $965 for 7 Days, $1,295 for 10 Days. Payment plans are available. See upcoming dates below.

3 Day Wellness Retreats (Fri 9am to Sun 1pm)

These retreats are a 2-night, 3-day program designed to offer a deeply restful and nourishing reset. You will be gently supported with organic fruit and vegetable juices, nutritionally enhanced smoothies, and a warming blended soup each evening.

The weekend includes daily yoga and meditation, access to the spa and sauna, inspiring presenter-led workshops, and optional body therapy. The program is thoughtfully paced, allowing generous 'you time', to walk, read, reflect, or simply rest.

Led by qualified facilitators, the retreat offers high-quality nourishment, gentle guidance, and unhurried space to reset. Set within the tranquil surroundings of Āio Wīra, the experience supports meaningful and lasting lifestyle shifts, from healthier eating and movement habits to reduced stress and renewed motivation.

InnerSense with Graham Mead

Apr 23rd - 29th (Thu-Wed)

In this retreat we will be exploring self-observation in depth - what it is and what it isn’t. Some of the topics we’ll explore include attention vs intention, relational awareness and insight, cultivating qi, opening the body and stabilising attention.

Body opening and partner practices enable a visceral (felt) experience of your nervous system, giving you increasing governance over how you react to the world and aids in bringing insight into the biology. We’ll be freeing up the fascia, liberating and accumulating qi in the body and doing mind strengthening practices to cultivate Will, determination and stability of mind.

A 6-day retreat is transformative and will enrich your life significantly. With very little distraction and a peaceful setting we can explore the mind-body-spirit relationship in depth. People who have attended long retreats, have found them to be particularly valuable, not only for the significant deepening of their practice, but also the community and support that develops amongst attendees.

If you really want to transform your mind and body, make this retreat a priority this year. It’s deeply replenishing, fascinating, educational and fun…and the food is great.
